Safety box

How to repair the bleedvalve of the safety box

Issue

  • The pump makes too many strokes or has come to a stop.
  • The reason might be a leakage of a valve inside the safety box.
  • Check if water is coming form the drain during cutting.
  • Check if a valve inside the safety box is getting hot.

Information

  • The safety box is controlled from the main cabinet of the ACM, with inputs from both the ACM and the light curtain.
  • As soon as the light curtain is interrupted during the cutting process, the safety box bleeds the full high pressure system so all components are without pressure.
  • When the cutting is finished or paused and the light screen is crossed (to remove finished parts) the isolate valve in the safety box closes without bleeding. All remains pressurized but the main volume of the pump is isolated from the cuttinghead. Keep in mind that there is still pressure at the cutting head but there is very little volume behind it.
  • The status of the service switch is shown in the status bar of the HMI and replaces the status pictogram of the safety grid, refer to section status of the safety grid.
